Each cart lives in a metafield on the customer's own record. CartSync Pro keeps no copy of it on its servers.

Cleared when they order
When the customer places an order, their saved cart is emptied, so bought items don't come back on the next device.
Nothing added as a guest gets lost at sign-in.
If a customer fills a cart before signing in, CartSync Pro keeps those items and adds their saved cart on top. If the saved cart is newer, because they changed it on another device, that version wins.

Questions merchants ask
Does it work for guests?
Carts sync for signed-in customers, because the cart is saved on the customer record. A guest's cart stays in their browser as usual, and when they sign in it's merged with their saved cart.
What exactly is saved?
The variants in the cart, their quantities and when it was saved, in a customer metafield. Cart notes, line item properties, discount codes and subscription choices aren't carried to other devices.
How quickly does another device update?
When the customer opens your store there, switches back to its tab, or returns after the idle timeout (30 seconds by default, adjustable from 15 to 120). It isn't a live feed between two screens open side by side.
What happens after they check out?
Shopify tells the app about the new order and the customer's saved cart is emptied, so the items they bought don't reappear on their other devices.
Will it change my theme?
No. CartSync Pro runs as an app embed that you switch on in the theme editor. The app only reads your live theme's settings to show whether the embed is on.
Does it work with headless storefronts?
Not today. It runs as an Online Store theme app embed and talks to the app through Shopify's app proxy, so it needs an Online Store theme.
