Bundles on the Shopify product page

Bundles Pro adds two cards to product pages in your Shopify admin, so you don't have to open the app to see how bundles and products connect.

Bundled products: what's inside a bundle

Open any bundle you made in Bundles Pro under Products. The Bundled products card shows:

• Showing 3 bundled products, then one row per product.
• The quantity, when it's more than one: 2 × Soft Cotton Hoodie.
• How many of the product's variants are included: All 4 variants, or 3 of 5 variants when you picked some.

Open one of the bundle's variants (for example Green / M) and the card lists the exact variant of each product that goes into that bundle variant: Soft Cotton Hoodie, Green / M, Sweatpants, Green / M, and so on. That's what your team picks and packs when someone orders it.

Editing a bundle's products

The card is read-only. To change what's in the bundle, use the card's edit link. It opens the bundle in Bundles Pro, where you can add or remove products, change variants and quantities, and change the price. Click Save there, and the card shows the new products the next time the product page loads.

Shopify only lets the app that created a bundle change its products. Shopify's developer docs put it this way: "After an app has assigned components to a bundle, only that app can manage the components of the bundle." (Add a product fixed bundle) So for a Bundles Pro bundle, the edit link is the way to change its products. Everything else about the product, such as images, description, SEO, tags and vendor, you edit on the product page as usual.

If the card says This bundle has no components yet., the bundle is still being built, or Shopify's build failed. Open Bundles Pro: the Bundles page shows Bundles in progress while Shopify works, and the bundle's page shows any error.

Included in bundles: which bundles a product is in

This card goes on the products inside bundles. Open a product, say the sweatpants, and it lists every Bundles Pro bundle that includes it:

• Collapsed, it reads Part of 2 bundles.
• Each bundle shows its image, title (a link to the bundle's product page), price or price range, and status.
• Edit opens the bundle in Bundles Pro.
• If the product isn't in any bundle: This product isn't part of any Bundles Pro bundle yet., with a Create a bundle link.

Use it before you change a product: before you raise its price (the bundles that include it need saving again to pick up the new price), discontinue it, or change its variants.

Add the card

Shopify doesn't show app cards on product pages until you add them. You do this once, on any product page, and it then shows on every product.

1. In your Shopify admin, open any product.
2. Find the app blocks area on the page (Shopify shows an Apps card for blocks you can add) and choose Included in bundles from Bundles Pro.
3. Save if Shopify asks. The card now shows on every product page.

Which bundles it lists

The card lists Bundles Pro bundles that shoppers can buy on your online store: Active and published to the Online Store. It's the same list the storefront's Buy the bundle instead block uses. So:

• A draft bundle doesn't show until you set it to Active.
• A bundle that's only on Point of Sale or Shop, and not on the Online Store, doesn't show.
• Bundles made with Shopify Bundles or another app don't show. Only Bundles Pro bundles do.

To find every Bundles Pro bundle, drafts included, use View in Products on the Bundles page in the app. It opens your Products list filtered to Bundles Pro bundles.

When the cards update

Refresh the product page to see a change: the cards load their data when the page opens.
